LISLE WINE TO GO!

We finish our Southern Hemisphere tour Down Under in Australia and New Zealand with this week's WINE TO GO at Malloy's Finest Lisle! With a huge range of climate and geographic conditions, these are two of the most versatile wine-producing countries in the world.

Our WHITE 3 Pack starts in New Zealand with Urlar Sauvignon Blanc. From lesser known Gladstone on the North Island, this Organic and Biodynamic wine is not your usual Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas and flavors of guava, melon, passion fruit and lime are rounded and textured. Pair this charmer with steamed mussels or a tangy and healthy goat cheese salad.  Next, from Australia's famous McLaren Vale we have a Rhone style blend of Viognier and Marsanne. D'Arenberg Hermit Crab, named for the crustacean whose fossils are found in the local limestone, has fragrant aromas and flavors of apricots, green mango and wisps of gingery spice. Perfect with Thai dishes. We finish with Penfolds Max's Chardonnay, dedicated to their legendary winemaker of 27 years. It's a modern style that's fresh and finely structured with bright fruit and nuanced oak. Our RED 3 Pack starts in New Zealand with Urlar Pinot Noir. This Organic and Biodynamic wine has a fragrant, delicate, complex and enticing bouquet. Elegant and expressive flavors of cherry, baking spices and tea with fine tannins and acidity are a beautiful pairing with grilled Ahi Tuna or cedar plank Salmon. From Yalumba, a historic family-owned winery established in 1849, we have old bush-vine Grenache. Sourced from Barossa, its rich and smooth flavors of dark cherry, raspberry and cranberry with a hint of earth and spice, are a gorgeous accompaniment with grilled lamb chops or burgers. We finish with Penfolds Max's Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon. A modern homage to their legendary winemaker, this blend delivers the generous black and blue fruits and spice of Shiraz with the black fruit, earth and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. Polished and powerful with your favorite grilled steak. Elegant and Bold REDS for only $59 after 15% discount.

WHISKEYFEST GLEN ELLYN IS COMING!

We have TWO Whiskeyfest events coming up, the first of which is next month on Saturday April 18th from 2-5pm at our Glen Ellyn store!

Plan on joining us for pours from OVER 70 outstanding whiskeys across more than a fifteen vendors!! We'll also be having a special one day raffle Saturday for the right to buy several extremely sought after bottles as well! Simply buy a bottle from the tasting and you can put in a ticket!
