DICKEL 19yr BARREL RELEASE!

These extreme aged barrels have long been on our radar, so when we sat down and sampled through them we were SO excited we had a magical barrel to choose! All of these barrels are kept in a single rick (level), controlling temperature and keeping the proof down as well as minimizing the possibility and risk of over-oaking. The result is an absolutely delicious whiskey that is exceedingly drinkable, affordable (just$65!) and an all out flavor bomb! The barrel yield was very low at 92 bottles and have some set aside for our Masterclass this evening so come grab a bottle when you can!

The nose sings in the glass with notes of maple almond syrup, vanilla candies and gingerbread dough balanced with nice wood char. The palate delivers a rich buttery whiskey with fruit notes of fresh cherries and burnt orange that hypnotically play one into the other and back again. Some white grape, sticky caramel, toasted nuts and white pepper round out the palate. Really fun interplay between the tannins and minerality make you beg for another sip. Just a lovely pour! 🤤

LISLE WINE TO GO!

We finish our exploration of Italian Wines in Southern Italy with WINE TO GO 3 Packs at Malloy's Finest Lisle. Join us in Sicily, Sardinia, Puglia and the Amalfi Coast of Campania.

Our WHITE 3 Pack starts with one of our favorite summer whites, Vermentino, from Sardinia, arguably the best area for this grape. Su'Entu Su'Imari is fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for extra texture. Stone fruit flavors and lemony acidity are a natural partner with grilled or sauteed shrimp and fish, linguine with clams or a nice Caesar salad. Our next wine is Colosi Grillo from Sicily, Italy's largest island and home of the Godfather. Refreshing flavors of lemons and tropical fruit, are in harmony with your favorite arancini, calamari, and grilled sword fish.  North of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, in the heart of Campania, we explore Fiano di Avellino from Terre di Valter. It's lush and textured with fresh notes of quince, pineapple, orange blossom, spice and hazelnuts. Add mouth-watering acidity and saline minerality and you have a perfect pairing with Neapolitan Pizza Margherita. Swimmingly good WHITES for only $46 after 15% discount. 

Our RED 3 Pack starts with Surani Primitivo from Puglia, the heel of the Italian boot. Considered the grandfather of California's Zinfandel, its flavors of dried plums and black berries with notes of licorice, tobacco, and amaretto are the perfect companion with the local pasta, Orecchetti and a sausage and tomato ragu or any barbecued meats. We return to Sicily for Colosi Nero d'Avola, the "Black Grape of Avola" Its sweet tannins and rich full-bodied flavors of plum, dark cherries and pepper pair with Pasta alla Norma, a signature of Sicily. We finish in Campania, the home of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, with Aglianico, considered the King of Southern Italian wine. Our example from Terre di Valter is elegantly firm with aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, black cherry and chocolate. A pairing with traditional Neapolitan Pizza or Braciole would be fit for this King. Rich and ripe REDS for only $45 after 15% discount.
