LISLE WINE TO GO!

We cruise the beautiful Danube River with WINE TO GO 3 Packs at Malloy's Finest Lisle. Join us as we discover a variety of delicious wines from Austria and Bulgaria.

Our WHITE 3 Pack starts in Austria where the hills are alive with the sound of music and their signature white grape, Gruner Veltliner. Our example from Schloss Gobelsburg has history going back 850 years and vineyards tended by Cistercian Monks.  Perfectly crisp and fresh fruit flavors are reminiscent of Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Sehr Gute with Wiener Schnitzel and wild mushrooms.  Next is Philipp Brundlmayer "Kaiserstieg" Riesling from Austria. This dry wine has a delicate kiss of crisp and stony flavors of green apple, peach and apricot. Perfectly delicious with pan-fried Rainbow Trout, an omelette or even sushi. We cruise further down the Danube to Bulgaria for an unoaked Chardonnay that's just right every day, but especially when you've had a "Rough Day". Relax with flavors of fresh green apple and Asian pear paired with a comforting roast chicken. Beautiful food friendly WHITES for only $45 after 15% discount. 

Our RED 3 Pack starts in Austria with Schloss Gobelsburg Zweigelt. This cross between Blaufrankisch and St. Laurent, is the most planted grape in Austria. Juicy flavors of cherries, plums and spice with good structure waltz across the palate with roast duck, grilled sausages and braised pork shanks. Next, we cruise to Bulgaria for "Enira", a Bordeaux style blend from Bessa Valley Winery. Partial ownership by Comte Stephan von Neipperg of Bordeaux fame foretell serious quality. With aromas and velvety flavors of dried berries, cherries and currants, you don't want to miss this reflection of great Bordeaux. Stay tuned to this up and coming winery while enjoying it with classic roast red meat and game.  As the Danube flows into the Black Sea, we enjoy "Rough Day" Bulgarian Cabernet Sauvignon. With a lovable dog on the label that says it all, your day will be better when you unwind and relax with its easy flavors of black cherry, blueberry pie and a subtle hint of herbs.  A perfect partner alone or with your favorite burger and grilled sausages. WhiskeyFest is coming in a couple of weeks on Saturday, October 3rd from 2-5pm at our Glen Ellyn store!
